Ranger 33 Rudder

Hi,
First post on sailnet but a long time reader. I co-own a Ranger 33, Starlight.

Today I took the rudder off to repair it. The problem I have is that I cracked the rudder head (used for emergency tiller and hold the rudder) which I believe is bronze or brass.

Anyone have any ideas how to fix the cap or know who supply's them?

It's pretty unlikely you'll find a direct replacement.. unless you can find a boat being parted out. But any machine shop should be able to create something that works for you. It could get expensive, but would be cheaper than casting another one-off.

But checking with a marine consignment store and asking around the local yards could prove successful.
