Propane burner valves

Hi all

I have a Hillerange Propane stove on my boat and the most curious (and worrying) thing has been happening. If I use either burner for an extended period of time- like 20-30 min the control siezes up and I can't turn it off or adjust until I turn off the tank valve and let it cool off for a bit. Any idea why this might be happening and how to go about fixing it?

Thanks

Nick
