parsons box

hi,i sail a seadog 30 and would like to know if any of our members know what a "parsons box" is, it looks like it's made of cast iron with one or two tubes coming out of it.Thanks, hope someone can help. Ronnie(bigman1).

Could you provide more information?

Where is it located? Is it part of the engine/transmission assembly? Where do the tubes lead? Etc.

I am guessing you mean a Parson's Gearbox?
