I used 1/4" clear lexan I had laying around. I put the automotive tint film on the inside to darken it. I masked off the outer one inch on the inside and painted that flat black. I used 6/32 x 3/4" SS bolts to fasten them. I didn't do anything on the inside. They look ok, but since I used old lexan they have some scratches on them. Good enough for the girls I date.

How long have you had the tint on them? I read somewhere that you couldn't tint lexan as it outgasses and you end up with bubbles under the tint. Have you experienced that?
