cleaning a fresh water system

The fresh water system (manual) in my Westerly Konsort is pumping water filled with particles. Is there a cleaner that works short of removing the tank and steam cleaning it? Thanks!

Greg, assuming that your water tastes and smells okay it sounds like you need a small marine filter between the water tank and the pump. This filter screens out particles and is designed to protect the pump impeller. I usually treat my tanks at the beginning of each season, which keeps the water tasting sweet and clean. The treatment procedure can be found in the forum section titled Head Mistress, web site www.hunterowners.com.
