cleaning a fresh water system

The fresh water system (manual) in my Westerly Konsort is pumping water filled with particles. Is there a cleaner that works short of removing the tank and steam cleaning it? Thanks!

Greg, assuming that your water tastes and smells okay it sounds like you need a small marine filter between the water tank and the pump. This filter screens out particles and is designed to protect the pump impeller. I usually treat my tanks at the beginning of each season, which keeps the water tasting sweet and clean.
