If you get hit and you're using non-certified fixtures... the chances of getting into trouble in a civil suit is very high.

i said put in a led light meaning a complete proper one. if i said led bulb them i would say i was wrong

Be aware, not all the "proper" LED fixtures are USCG-certified. AquaSignal makes several, but AFAIK, only the Series 32 are USCG certified.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

I"m very interested in LED bulbs in the long-term, but for now, I'm going stock. It worked for 25 years in this boat, and I know it will likely mean running the engine in the middle of the night. So what? It's only a few days.

Long term, I want to replace all the nav lights and all the interior lights with LEDs and save some juice.

For the nav lights, I'll definitely make sure we're USCG certified.

Good luck with the PBlaster... let it soak in over the course of a couple of days, spraying it three or four times over that period......
