Diesel Filter/water separator

Hi Experienced Cruisers. This newby needs some advice. My boat has a 3 year old Yanmar 2GM20FC. The fuel filter/separator is original (~28 years old) and needs replacing. I want to replace it with a good system that is easy to manage (ie find and change filters). I cruise in the Pacific Northwest only. Any Advice?? Thanks in advance.

Get a Racor.

We have a Racor - one of the models with a self contained pump.. simplifies bleeding the fuel system. The only problem is that only Racor filter cartridges fit - none of the available (here) aftermarket filters are a match, so they are expensive. (eg $40 vs $10).. but then again you're not buying tons of them so it's not the end of the world.
