That's kind of how I had it figured about furling with the sail full or empty. I'm planning to just try different things and see what works best. On this particular setup, it doesn't help that the (continuous) furling line and it's reversing block are on the side deck outside of the coaming. It's rather difficult to get a good angle of pull there.
I also figured out that it would probably behoove me not to unwrap the entire 150 genoa again until I am adept at getting the first 2/3 of it or so furled!
