Spring Support Thingy

I have a piece of hardware that holds my chart table open. It looks like a spring. When you open the table it snaps in to place and holds, and to close the table, you grab the spring and it bends to allow you to close. Problem is that there was something jammed under it one day and I used a little too much "persuasion" to get the table closed and it bent the spring. It no longer holds the table open. I want to replace this part, but I a) have no idea what it is called. b) have checked west, local RV place, hardware stores, etc to no avail. Anyone know what it is called and/or where I might find one?

It's called a Lid Support Spring.
