Islander 28 spreader source

I am finishing the repaint of the spars on our 1979 Islander 28. The 1.25" AL tubing spreaders are stuck in the stainless weldment and the outer end fitting is also corroded, frozen screws etc.

While I am pretty sure I can use 6061 tubing 1.25" OD, .125" wall, the ends are another matter.

The wire is clamped between the tube-end fitting which is held in by a driven rivet (perhaps) and the outer cap which is locked with two countersunk flat blade stainless screws which are of course, frozen...

Does anyone know of a source? I'd be interested in hearing alternatives if someone has trod this path before.

Many thanks.

I just had spreaders replaced. I searched through RigRite web site and sure enough there was something that fit my mast (more or less). Not cheap, though.

28 Islander "Island Majic" was my first boat for 10 years. Loved the joinery work and its craftmanship as well as its speed. Will always have a special place in my memeories.
