paint texture interior

when i bought my islander 29, all the veneer on the overhead was warped and splintered, so i decided to take it all out and just paint the fiberglass (which gave me an extra 1" headroom!). well i used brightside and it doesn't look BAD.. but it does show off the cat hair fiberglass, all my small sanding whirls. it isn't so bad that it bothers me, but it could look better with a flatter paint, and if i decide to repaint, perhaps i could use some texture to make it all a bit more uniform.

i have ruled out a sand nonskid, as i am already bald enough, but are there other textures people have used on interior surfaces?
