Water Pump Flow Rate Volvo MD11C ??

We would like to know what the expected flow rate should be for an older model MD11C Volvo diesel. Raw water cooled. We have estimated that it is currently at 2-2.5 gallons / 5 minute interval while idling. The thought here is that if our flow rates are too low then we must have some obstruction down stream from pump. We believe we have ruled out most other possibilities. We were hoping to be able to rule out the impeller assuming our flow rates were in line with expectations.

Any thoughts?

The water flow into the exhaust of a raw-water cooled engine is much less than that for a fresh-water cooled engine. The reason is the entire flow from the sea water pump on a fresh-water cooled engine passes through the heat exchanger and then into the exhaust. On a raw-water cooled engine, the water is recirculated, and only enough is discharged as necessary to maintain the engine water temp (usually at about 140F). As long as the engine temp is fine, don't worry.
