NavNet 3D update

This is a bit hard to believe but about the charts... Not only are they very hard to order and expensive but after you pay all that $$ the plotter now owns the charts. If you sell your boat the charts go with it unless you take your plotter with you. I am not kidding here, the charts can not be used anywhere but on the chartplotter they have been keyed to. Neither MaxSea (Furuno) or Mapmedia will provide new codes for a new plotter should you make the mistake and put 3D NavNet on the next boat you buy. So be ready to kiss the charts and $ goodby

Umm, you expected something different... Furuno isn't about to let you move the charts from one unit to another, since they make a lot more money on the charts than they do on the hardware.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
