What to do with water stains

After an unfortunate and prolonged "near sinking," I have a water mark left on my teak bulk heads. I have scrubbed off the stain...literally,and now have an unsightly reminder covering the first foot of the bulkheads. I have never stained the interior teak before, just used lemon oil twice a season to keep the teak looking healthy. Any recomendations would be appreciated.
