Where to buy Butyl Tape?

I know the info has to be here somewhere, but I haven't been able to find it.

Where do you guys buy butyl tape? Searching online I haven't found any dealers local.

Awesome! I bought some from home depot but it ended up having a plastic backing to it. It was for putting around window flashing to seal them. My girlfriend scraped enough off to seal a chainplate after 45 minutes or so but its not going to work very well to seal 4 windows without some serious strife.

Don't buy the black butyl tape as it will stain the fiberglass.

Most auto glass places have it.. $10.00 for a 25 ft roll here (Ontario, Canada) at Speedy Auto Glass so maybe 5 bucks american. Comes in black or grey and the only big trick is a clean surface.

The stuff from the link I posted is gray and comes with a nice thin paper backing that is very easily removed. I have beded tracks and other hardware with it and it works perfectly.

My cockpit is full of fastener holes I have yet to fix. I just put little squares of butyl tape over them until I can fix them.

This is the kind that I used, gray with paper backing. I found that if you're using a fairly long piece of the butyl tape that it is best to leave the paper backing on it for as long as possible as it is very easy for the tape to stretch and lose its shape.

This is very true when working on portlites.
