Shallow Bilge, Bilge Pump Switch
Hello:
My 2003 Bavaria 44 has a shallow bilge with an electronic bilge pump switch (no float-switch). Whenever we get 1/4 inch of water in the bilge and it moves as we sail the switch is activated. The pump needs at least 1" of water for the pump to work properly.
This is putting undue stress on the pump since its running dry too long.
Any suggestions?
