Interior handholds

I recently replaced the grab rails on the outside with some steal ones and the rails on the inside were through bolted to them so now I have no handholds on the inside. Also no place to hang laundry but fixing the other problem fixes that.

I don't really want to have to drill new holes and through bolt the rails since it will be pretty tough to hide the bolt head on the deck. If I was really lucky I could maybe find something that would perfectly match up to the exterior rails and I could use the bolts from those to mount them.

How strong would it be if I cut out a space in the tack strip and epoxied a bolt into the hole to mount the interior grab rail too? Is there a better way to mount a handle to an interior space? I am in the process of redoing the ceiling as well so I will have an opportunity to do a lot of sanding and fairing so even putting in some blocks to screw into is not out of the question.

I don't want to be falling and grab for it and have it come out though.
