Need advice about audio input from M710 into PC-soundcard

Is it possible to take the audio-ouput from the external speaker into the microphone-input or will that damage the soundcard in my laptop?

You can do it if you keep the output to LOW volume. If you have a line level output that will work much better.

You can use a speaker to line converter if you want to make one, very simple to assemble:
Speaker signal to line level

Or a ready made type, normally available in two or four channel versions, but I have found single channels:
Scosche SLC4 Four-channel line output converter at Crutchfield.com

Only real difference between factory and homebuilt is that the factory is normally adjustable.
They are normallyt used to run speaker outputs to low-level inputs on amplifiers.

Ken.

Thank you very much indeed. That seems to be a very elegant solution.
