Motor Mounts-1986 Catalina 30

I am the new ower of a 1986 Catalina 30. We had a survey done before we purchased her. One of the items noted on the survey was loose motor mounts on a 23HP universal. The surveyor showed me this during the inspection and I thought 'no biggie, I'll just get out my socket set and torque those puppies down'. But when I try to do that several of the bolts just spin as if there is nothing to grip. I thought maybe a nut had fallen off, but there is no way to access where the bolt threads are. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

There is a good Catalina 30 owners website (catalina.sailboatowners.com) that has forums and info, and you can also call Catalina and speak to a technician. Are you sure it is a 23 hp diesel? I have an 83 and my Universal is a 9 hp. (M-25)
