Morgan 30 Centerboard winch

During a previous haul out which involved replacing the centerboard penant stuffing box shaft and cabling, the winch was misplaced and presumably was lost for ever! This has proven to be more of a problem than usual as I can find no reference to this device. It is a small double acting winch that is operated by a removeable hand crank in the cockpit. If anyone has any idea as to where I can purchase anew one it would be appreciated

I recently purchased a Morgan 30. One of the previous owners took the entire centerboard system apart and lost the same part you are looking for. Yes, this has proven to be very hard to find. If you have any luck, let me know. If I can get spec's, maybe one can be fabricated?

You might visit the Trailer Sailer BBS & ping one Tom Scott, who owns a M30 CB and knows durn near everything about them. Decent people there who can, on rare occasions, be induced to talk about sailboats and sailing.;)

Hmmm. Tom doesn't list an email link on his profile, apparently. Easiest way is to join the forum & post "Hello Tom Scott! Morgan 30 question". That will catch his eye. He's a gracious person who likes to help.

(Don't think he spends time on Sailnet, or I'd direct him to this thread.)
