used fiberglass boat

i was looking @ a boat 90's model small 23-foot fiberglass and i noticed cracking around cabin hatch and inside under mast step there was a crack starboard to port direction -about 3 to 4 -inches. this crack was peeling - unlike surface hairline cracks.

my instinct is to say no. - this might be many dollars to repair
I do not have pictures.

so it is just below deck under mast, can't miss it when you enter cabin.

Depending on the price, you might want to get a survey. If you're willing to do repairs yourself, almost nothing is very expensive on a fiberglass boat- but it could be a lot of work.
