Binoculars (more aptly quadoculars !)

Pair of Binos at home. Not expensive, sub $100.00, couple of years old. 7x50.

As of the weekend they now duplicate everything. Look through one lens and its OK but as soon as you look through both...double vision.

And no I have not been drinking !!

Brand is Kinglux which judging by the price is just another Chinese no name brand and I know I didn't drop them while the Wombette denies it as well.

Any thoughts ?

Anyone ?

It could be mirror misalignment or bent frames.

You could always throw the binocs at them - that's about what they're good for.

I used to buy the cheapies - they're more expensive in the long run. I now have digitally stabilised Canon binocs 15x50 (because you can!!) and they're worth the "excessive" money you pay for them. Problem is they don't drop any better than others so they're treated with a great deal of respect.

FWIW, we keep an old pair of cheapies in plain view down below for the casual thief rather than have him go looking for the Canons.

Off subject, we do that with credit cards too.

Thoroughly agree, these are just for home not the boat. I've never used a pair of 15 x 50. How do you like them ? I worry that they might be too sensitive but I guess the DS sorts that out. Need a new pair for the boat.

Still,
If I did that I wouldn't have any left to keep in my wallet......
