We finally tracked down all of the hidden screws that attached the bulkheads to the house. It wasn't easy....

Here you can see the house sitting on it's rods.

My Sonicrafter threw it's washer and bolt so we had to go ahead and pull the tank early to find it. The tank had a pipe leading into it that had been repaired with a giant glob of JB Weld or something and had been leaking.

Rot on the lower hanging locker bulkhead from the water.

The house is a disaster now and will look worse before she's done.

Now I've gotta figure out how to get the house on the ground without tearing it up.

Wow Charlie - when I had been last there topside looked well and so did below... Sorry your having to go through the expense and effort. Glad you did though - historic and I know you love owning a one of a kind...

You are right Jody. Only 5 built, Yawls that is, and this is the only one built as she was. She's worth the effort.

One leak off of the boat to the side. No issues there.

Gary, wood is cool. You can fix anything on a wood boat.

A wood boat is just several thousand little jobs done well.

Fixing one is just figuring out which ones to undo... and how.

I'm glad to see you've got a roof over your head.

I agree, I'd rather be working with wood if I'm going to be tearing apart a boat. (But, I'd much rather be out sailing!
