Winter Storage - Dry - Annapolis

Wonder whether anyone can recommend a couple of yards to check with for winter storage in Annapolis. Don't know whether there are still places available, but object is to make boat more accessible for drive-by sales interest WITHOUT getting hosed in one way or another. Expect to pay some premium... but reasonable charges, services, and security of interest, too.

Most yards in Annapolis offer storage on land in separate brokerage or work areas. Brokerage usually a bit cheaper.....You can't beat Jabin's Yacht Yard for high visibility, clean well-run facility. Believe that rates are similar everywhere in town,in other words higher than those further off the beaten path!

I agree with georgefmys advice re Jabins.

Also, if the drive is manageable for you, check out Herrington Harbor North, 15 min south of Annapolis - a huge DIY friendly facility with water and 20A service located close to all the hardstand locations. The yard is full of Professional services if you need them (as is Jabins').

I have used both and can recommend them from good experience.

Port Annapolis is slightly cheaper than Jabins for "for sale" boat storage, they down the same road. I think their "for sale" area may be filling fast, though.

I don't expect you'll get much "drive-by" traffic anywhere. Jabins has a row in their "for sale" area on Edgewood Road, but it is a dead-end street and almost all the traffic that far down in winter is people going to work on their existing boats.

That said, Jabins and Port A are both good choices. You might want to also explore Eastport Yacht Center on the other side of Back Creek.

Agree - Jabins and Port Annapolis are the two largest "for sale" marinas in Annapolis. There are a ton of people driving through those yards all Winter long looking at boats for sale. I would suggest that you reserve a spot early, as both of these yards fill up quickly.
