remove set-in port lights

im trying to salvage port-lights from a hunter and a catalina, but dont see any external/internal screws, seems to be bedded inside the hull. any idea how to get these out? saws-all?

also the skylight kinda deals on the hunter--i removed the screws but am having trouble pulling them out of the bedding and dont want to crack them, is there some type of solvent i can use to soften them up or something?

If they are the newer Catalina/Hunters with the glued-in portlights I'm not sure you can really get them out in one piece unless the adhesive has already failed. I believe there are some solvents you could try, but would worry about the solvent attacking the lens of the port too....

As far as the hatch goes you may be able to cut the caulking with a fine wire like a guitar or piano string. Use a couple of pieces of dowling as handles.
