"table" covering

Saw a C&C(1989 with no scratches on dining table!) that had a non-skid covering that must have come on a bolt since it was custom cut to cover table/nav station etc. I have found lots of non-skid placemats with holes but this was a foam spongy covering with a nautical print. Canadian boat so maybe not found in USA. Really want to cover and protect surfaces when small children or clumsy adults onboard.

It could have simply been a foam-backed tablecloth form a dollar store or a similar source, that someone found in the right size or cut down to the right size. There are, after all, tablecloths for pretty much every theme, somewhere out there.

Find a cloth you like, and you can always laminate a non-skid backing to it as well.

1Goldie,

I'd just try the fabric store and see what they have. The local fabric store has everything from silk to suede leather and everything in between, including outdoor fabrics. I know you will find some material to use, you might even try something like Walmart first because their fabric section also has clear plastic table covering and other materials that comes on a bolt.
