Rainy, I never saw your original thread. It's a miracle that there wasn't more damage. It must have slipped when he was directly over the step. If he had still been positioning, the results could have been disastrous.
It's good that they are so busy that they make you wait so long. I wish I had that problem.

But at least they are stepping up to the plate and making it right. And they seem to be doing a pretty good job.
One thing. I noticed that you used to have a single stand-up block near the mast. Are they going to reinstall that?
If you have anything pulling up on the deck, you should make sure that you have a tie-rod or something holding the deck down.
There are a number of ways that I've seen it done. Sometimes they have a couple of plates bent to hook over the lip inside the hole and then bolted to the mast, sometimes they use a stud with a nut and washer on top and then attached to the mast below with a turnbuckle and t-bar swage. But the bottom line is, if you are running lines aft to the cockpit, you are lifting the deck.
Make sure that they are on top of it.
