Can anyone give me details of the operating revs and temp of this engine please ?????

I have just had the 3rd gearbox failure on this engine in as many years. The dealer tells me it must be a prop issue - he wants me to check what revs th eboat will pull flat out and compare it to the spec on the engine.

Aslo is it ok to run the engine for my refridgeration for 30 mins a day with no gearbox ie load ??? Surely the inertia of the flywheel will offer some resistance.

Cant go into too much detail - stranded in a small town on th eest coat of australia.

What is the serial # of the engine? What is the serial # of the fuel injection pump? What is the make and gear ratio of your gearbox? Once you know all of these, you will be better informed as to which pitch and diameter prop to be using.
