Electrician Needed Baltimore-Annapolis area

Any recommendations on an electrician for the old boat I recently purchased. The charger says it's working but the new batteries go dead. Some of the connections look to be 30 years old.

I have read Don Casey's Sailboat Maintenance Manual and am still puzzled.

Thanks
george

Could be you have a load on the battery. Have you charged them up, disconnected the battery terminals, then check the voltage after a few days?
How fast do they go dead after done charging? Are all the breakers off when the batteries go dead?

Hooked up to shore power, the batteries (new) were dead when I returned to my boat the next week. Happened again last week. All I thought I left on were the bilge pump and fresh water pump. Digging around under the cabin sole, the positive connection to the shower sump was broken.

The battery charger glows green and lights up a West Marine charger panel that says it is charging; but I still lose power.

I have not touched the breakers except to verify they are on.
