I think the wind velocities are higher where you are than where I am, which is where Ida originally made landfall.
Originally the fiddle block attached to a SS eye strap, but it's flimsy as tissue paper. There's an after-market metal fitting that goes between the mast boot and the step, but I'm not planning on pulling the mast at this point. The plan is to sail her down to Port St. Lucie, and take her through Ocachobee to Ft. Meyers, and then on up to Sarasota, Apalachicola, and then on home. Hope you and that NC of yours are doing great....
That would wonderful if you take a tape measure down to your boat the next time you're there! I'm looking for the width fore and aft. I'm thinking it's around 9.5 inches....
By the way, my wife is in Seattle right now. Can't remember the name of the hotel.... but the Beatles stayed there way back when, and I think it begins with an "E." Pretty sure it's near the Space Needle. I think it's a pretty well known place.
