The original 1981 vintage J24 stuff was Navtec and BULLET PROOF and the 2009 cost was absurd at over 150 just per turnbuckle X 6



still not sure why i changed them BUT i felt a lot safer this year

Which is why everybody i know goes with the open body forged bronze interesting enough the rigging company advised against Ronstan calibrated turnbuckles on boats that were wet sailed due the the crevice issue

I can't swear if the one I launched was an original or not, although I think it was. But then again...I never tried shooting one, it might well be bulletproof. Bullets are vastly overrated. :-)

I am still surprised as they usually fold the spreader tip when you get crazy tight BUT stuff happens
