I had a very old one. And it worked well.

I think pretty much all outboards are the same - if you take good care of them (use good fuel and keep the spark plug clean), you shouldn''t have any problem.

The nice thing about 4 strokes is they use straight gasoline - so you don''t have to go through the bother of mixing oil and gas.

I don''t think you can go wrong.

I have owned several Honda outboards and I cannot say enough good things about them. Only drawback is that it is probably a bit heavier than its 2-stroke competitors. The 4-stroke engines are much better for the environment and get alot better gas mileage.

yhea, I have one. it''s stalled on me twice.

time 1.) I put some gas in the tank, and it started back up

time 2.) I re-atached the kill switch leash and it started back up

this includes the time my father fired it up OUT OF THE WATER and left it running for 2 minutes before I got there (running!) to turn it off and get it into some water.

Cant say enough good things about them. kept me off the rocks more times than good sailing has, thats for sure :

Not a 2 hp but a 7.5 hp Honda 4 stroke. I loved it.
