looking for water pump grease

I read somewhere here that for greasing job underwater one can use water pump grease as it does not wash off easily. Can someone advise me the brand of such grease? Thanks.

Not sure what you are trying to do, but would toilet ring wax work? Home Depot for $3.

BTG or Boat Trailer Grease should work.

It is a wheel bearing grease made for water.

Try NAPA.

I have never been able to find "water pump grease" as recommended for my Oberdorfer pump on my Atomic 4, but I understand it's a waxy, solid grease stick: you cut off a chunk and press it into the grease nipple and then turn the cap until snug, giving it a quarter turn now and then to get fresh lube to the pump shaft.

I've seen it on an old guy's boat, but as I said, I can't find such a product, so I use a big blob of peanut-buttery bearing grease, which is similar to "white lithium grease".

I use Star Brite white teflon lubricant on winches, or if you want to pay more you can buy a winch grease with a winch mfg's name on it. I also second the trailer bearing grease idea.
