Assuming you mean on a boat the choices are somewhat limited and expensive. You can use Iridium phone but the data rates are quite low and rather expensive but the hardware costs are tolerable. The other choice is a stabilized marine VSAT with high installation and operation costs. The main challenge is to keep the antenna pointed at the satellite which requires stabilizing the antenna.
I am not sure about the footprint of the satellites outside of North American. It may only in available in coastal waters.
I have experience with ground based satellite internrt, but have never used but net used it in a marine environment. Satellite based internet has good download speeds, good a streaming, and slow upload speeds, posting pictures might take a while. It is really terrible if you are connecting to a secure environment, ie VPN.
