safe test?

Just rehabed my A4... I think (think=good guess) she is ready as i can shift from the pedestal and get her to attempt to move forward/backward against the moorings. Is there any recommended 'safe' procedure for a first time out?

maybe a 'just in case' escort boat?

while im pretty sure she is good to go, it is a bit daunting....

thanks,
Quinn

ps. if i dont post for 24 hrs, call the guard. j/k. lol

An anchor ready to deploy easily!......

Tools on board?

Can you sail into your slip or onto your mooring...?..

pick your weather..day!! light winds, sunshine, warm...good forecast..

if you have a dinghy..with an outboard....you can tie it up alongside..and tow yourself in if needed.

Escort..if you have someone willing is always nice

I regularly run my engine in gear in the slip (best to run it under load) when I'm not cruising. There's no reason not to run it for a half hour in the slip in gear to see how the guages behave. 'take care and joy, Aythya crew

as some have said

light winds, anchor ready, dinghy ready. but the one i have not seen is sails ready to be lifted/unfurled if the motor conks out you want to be ready to deploy sails so you can maintain control.
