Sail repair for leech and numbers
My wife and I are working on repairing our sails. We have sewn several of the seems mostly for reinforcement but in 2 locations there is a 1/8 inch line and where 2 panels come together the little pouch out on the outer edge are worn through. I want to wrap a piece of cloth to both reinforce the seem between the two panels and for a new pouch. What type of fabric should we use?
The other issue our numbers are are coming off. They appear to have some sticky stuff which has remained on the sail. The red material is pulling away. Any ideas on how to reattach the red numbers.
