Swing Keel

I have a 1975 Helsen 22. I want to know if anyone has experience with inspecting the keel pivot pin and what are the steps to replacing it if necessary. There in NO visible bolting looking at the trunk from the inside or outside of the boat.

In my Seafarer 29 KCB the pin was installed in place and the hull was laid up around it.

The swing portion of the keel has a slot that hooks over the pin. Kind of like a thick plastic coat hanger. A strap keeps it from falling off if the cable breaks.

You should be able to see the pin by removing the strap. If not remove the swing keel.

After crawling all over the keel I FOUND IT! It is on the bottom of the housing very hard to see when on the trailer.
