I''m looking for specific advice (NO theory!!!) on what size fixed 3-blade prop to put on a Catalina 30 w/ a Universal 5411 and a Hurth 2:1 transmission. Don''t want to spend the $$ on folding or feathering props and certainly am not looking to repower. Any specific advice regarding size would be helpful. Thanks!!!
Haskell & Hall in Salem Mass should be able to help you, and supply you with a reasonably priced prop for your boat. I think the web address is www.hhprop.com but I couldn’t seem to open them tonight to confirm that. Perhaps their server is down for the night. As I recall, they have, or had an interactive page where you fill in some information about your boat and they give you the particulars for a prop from there.
Anyway, I hope you find this helpful. If you get to frustrated, you could opt for an outboard...
