Pearson 33-2 centerbd cable

My 1985 Pearson 33-2 centerboard cable snapped & came out of the tube leading to the centerboard. Need to understand the best way to get a new cable installed or at least a drawing of what the system looks like inside the mast compression tube.

That site looks like it has great potential, but, IMHO, right now is somewhat barren...

Dan Pheiffer maintains (maintained?) a site that has pointers, and a wealth of info on Pearsons here. The 31-2 Owners manual on the site above has a section on the centerboard pennant. You can access it directly here.

I had to replace the cable on my 33-2 a couple of years ago (no longer own that boat). Would be happy to share with you my experience and my limited memory.
