Transducer that will talk to NMEA or SeaTalk

I'd like to find a transducer that will talk nmea 0183 or SeaTalk straight to my (somewhat ancient) Raymarine RL72RC Plotter/Radar display - I'm trying to go cheap and avoid having to buy a display or a signal conversion box.

Does anyone know of a Raymarine or other make depth/speed/(temp if avail) unit that will plug into my network and talk to my Raymarine display?

FYI I also have a new Simrad AP24 - I don't think that display can show speed & depth though.

Thanks!

Airmar make the transducers for almost everyone, they are distributed through Gemeco, so I would check both these links for the information you need and then decide. Check out their new Airmar DST800 triducer, that may suit your needs.

This is a no brainer if I checked out the proper Raymarine manual and you are willing to use instruments. The back side of the radar unit has a 3 pin curved seatalk connector. I also have this on a 630 chartplotter. I have all of my ST60 instruments daisy chained and connected to this port. I can go into a custom display setting and display any of my seatalk data in a small box on the screen. You will need the ST displays to convert the sensor outputs from pulses to seatalk format. You should be able to find the ST50 instruments on the cheep, I have found them under $100 each..... they work also... to go with NMEA sensors only, please post what ends up working for the rest of us to learn from. THANKS

Thanks for the Airmar reference, R.fur'.

Roline, I don't understand your suggestion. Can you draw a pic or spell out the point to point connections and the signal conversion that's going on?

Thank you both!
