Volvo Penta engine
I am trying to find a primary ignition coil or suitable substitute for an old Volvo Penta engine and maybe someone out there has some ideas. The engine is a one cylinder, 5hp, type 091 or 092 built about 1977 I think. The actual primary coil number on the part is: 10024400. The mounting hole spacing is 55mm. Volvo also lists the number as 3 556 850 in their old parts lists, for reasons only they understand. I have tried another model from Volvo and true to their manual and a friend of mine as well it overheats and cuts out in ten minutes or so. Anybody out there want to relieve themselves of one of these or knows a suitable replacement I would be indebted. I can supply additional working specs and/or a picture if necessary. By the way I am new to Sailnet and if this is not the proper place to discuss this please let me know. Thanks
