Show me your pedestal mounted electronics

Consindering adding a chartplotter & new instruments would love to see what arrangments others have used.

Here is how it looks now (yes I have refinished the teak, these pix were from when we were buying the boat)

will likely add the plotter in a pod above or to the side of the instruments. Might upgrade the 23 year old instruments too...

Have you looked to the left side of your screen?

You are very lucky or someone is working fast and well.

This seems to me a good solution for your boat:

Ha gary...she does make that beeping sound when backing up though

This set up allowed us to put all the instruments ( speed, wind, depth and auto pilot) as well as the stero remote and i pod jack on the top Navpod

The bottom navpod has the C-80 chartplotter. I installed it myself and was able (with difficulty to drill all the holes and wire all the components through the pedastal gaurd

Chef2 - thanks for the picture. I think I spy the top of a binnacle mount compass in the first picture. Any visability issues? (compass or looking ahead? I think I'm leaning towards the "vertical stack" configuration that you have - leaves room to get by the pedestal when moored (wheel removed).

Are you able to reach over the wheel to work the plotter?

Looks like I might need to pony up for a new guard (with the bend in it).

Hazmat. Angle of the picture doent do it justice. easy to reach to the plotter and you are essentially the same height as the top of the wheel. So Its not behind it. We did have to buy a new double bend pedestal gaurd.

Feel free to PM me with other suggestions

Chef—

You really need to post a warning before putting something like that up on the net...nearly made me toss my cookies... then I'd have to bill you for a new keyboard..

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Ouch, what did those Nav Pods set you back, about $600-$700?
