HV17 Swing Keel Maintinace

Hello. This is my first post. I wanted replace the keel bolt, winch cable and shackle on a Hobie 17 I have just purchased that has been sitting for ten years. It is a 1984 and I have no exsperience with this. The keel s looks heavy,rusty and dangerousli heavy(350lbs.) Any advice ?
