Roller furling main locks when reefing

I have a Z-Spars roller furling main mast in my 1995 Beneteau Oceanis 440. When I reef it (or roll it into the mast) in stronger winds, there is a tendency, after a while sailing with the reefed sail, for the sail to come partially out of the mast''s track and to get stuck (will not roll in or out). What am I doing wrong? Should I put more resistance in the clew''s outhaul when rolling in the sail so that it rolls in tighter and without any slack around the foil? Doesn''t this put too much strain in the system? Any help would be greatly appreciated since it is quite annoying to have a sail stuck in the mast when the wind is picking up.

Put a bit more tension on the outhaul. Raise the boom a bit above horizontal when reefing or furling and check the luff and furler tension. I have only one season experience with a Sparcraft furling main but have not experienced this problem. In fact it has performed flawlessly. The only time something similar happened was when I mistakenly tried to furl the main without fist releasing the furler line.
