Check out this chart http://www.pettitpaint.com/fileshare...ns/afchart.pdf SR-21 on the chart is chemically equivalent to VC-17. My advice is to take the pain now and sand off the existing Bottom Shield and recoat with VC-17 or SR-21. You'll be happier in the long run
