The New Main

At last, I will relegate my 41 year old main sail to the "emergency bag" and use my new Tasker.

The cloth is a little heavy and I might lose some performance in the zephyrs but at least I have a large genoa. This thing ought to last forever if I protect it when not in use.

Can't wait to try it out.

sailguy26 is on a distinguished road
Hi Bubblehead, I spent 4 years on the 657, if you lay the sail out flat and measure from the head to the tack. The luff is not a straight line, but is offset by an inch or two. If you bend the mast by an equal amount, the main sail will shape up nice and performance will increase.
