New Sails

I am getting ready to purchas all new sails for my 38 Ingrid. Mizen Main Stay and Head sail. I think I am going to go with a Profurl head sail. But I am not sure on the rest. A lokal sail loft is telling me I realy should buy his sails and thay are nice but the main alone is over 4K and it is just to much money what about lee sails or the ones on Sail Net. Or even used ones.

New Sails

Call Dirk at National Sail Supply!!! He is great and his prices are far less than your local sail loft. I have now purchased four sails from him and been very very happy. Just to give you an idea I''m just about to place an order for a fifth new sail a full batten main sail for my Catalina 36 - 8oz Challenge sail cloth, extra roach, two reefs and tripple stitching total price $1353.00. He also sells furler and genoa packages and I know he does packages with Pro Furl!!!! You can''t go wrong... Good Luck!

Catalina sails are cheaper because some lofts (like the Sail Warehouse) carry them in stock. Still, 4k for a main sound high to me. My Quantum for my irwin 32 (large main) was under 2k. Shop around. Unless you are racing or going around the world, your needs should ber able to be met for less.
