Swim decks for s/v''''s

Has anyone tried putting a small swimdeck on the transom? You know, the small kind that would sit on one half of a 90 degree type of transom. It would be a semi-pseudo type sugar scoop style setup but I wonder if it would work better then a 4 step folding ladder. May main concern is heavy weather with following seas.

Check out this alternative over on the Sailboat Owner''s website -http://www.sailboatowners.com/upload/display.tpl?folder=73127065966&fno=17

Hope the link works. If not check www.hunterowners.com, then "Photo Forum", then search for "boarding ladder".
