Vents VS. Hatches

So it appears I currently have a broken Vent O Mate in the deck. Seen Here: BECKSON VENT-O-MATE

Are these worth replacing or should I go for a 10" x 10" Hatch instead? The deck is solid glass so no core to worry about. Are there other options?

I'd recommend going with a solar ventilator fan, like the Nicro Day & Night ones. They're going to give you 24 hour ventilation, even in bad weather, which a hatch will not. They're probably also easier to install and less expensive.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Yikes LandLocked, you are pretty casual about the sawsall you are ready to apply to that deck! Heed Sailingdog for the sake of your wallet, your deck and fresh air.

Well, that is true. Since our top goes up ventilation won't be a problem so much.
