Islander 28 toe rail mounted stanchion base

As the (occasionally hapless) owner of the last Islander 28' known (hull #485), I must replace some life line stanchions. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to locate their bases. Has anyone ever seen these?

Thanks in advance,
Peter

Peter,

I owned a 1976 28 Islander (Island Majic- Hull # 201) as my first boat and still have a fondness for them.

Our C&C 35 MKIII also has toerail stantion bases, although not exactly the same as the Islanders. They fit around the Anadized toerail similarly. Torrenson Marine has them in their inventory.

Call Garhauer marine, as they may be able to make something that will work for you.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
